Interested in singing with us? We are always interested in recruiting new members.
Auditions for the 2007/2008 concert season will be held on September 9, 2007. To set up an audition, please contact the Chorale Office by telephone, (661) 254-8886 or regular mail in August 2007.
High school students under the age of 18 should ask about our Intern Program, an exciting opportunity for talented young musicians to join the Chorale for an entire season.
Audition Requirements
Come prepared to do a little vocalizing, a short sight-reading piece and an appropriate solo of your choice (a solo or your part from a choral piece or an anthem). Please bring three copies of your music. We will provide an accompanist. Membership Requirements The Santa Clarita Master Chorale is committed to artistic excellence. Members must re-audition annually. There is a strict attendance policy: if more than two rehearsals are missed per concert, participation in the concert is not permitted. Dress rehearsals may not be missed under any circumstances.
Members are required to pay $150 annually in dues, provide for their concert attire and concert folder according to Chorale specifications, and provide their own music for the March concert.
Members must also volunteer a minimum of 16 hours per season and are expected to actively support fund-raising activities and participate in community benefit performances when scheduled. |
