If you like your music lively, then join the Santa Clarita Master Chorale as they present Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana. This collection of poetic songs has made its way onto the silver screen and into your television. It’s all here: love, romance, gambling, cruel fate. And for the other side of the coin, the Chorale offers Te Deums, songs to God from Haydn, 20th century composer Benjamin Britten and a sprightly and tender one from Chorale artistic director Allan Petker.

You have two chances to saddle up and git along to songs from the wild, wild West! The Santa Clarita Master Chorale marks its 10th anniversary with a special performance in the venue where it all began, Saturday evening, at the Valencia United Methodist Church and then on Sunday afternoon at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons. The Chorale will be singing Home on the Range arranged by Mark Hayes and offering up Norman Luboff’s Cowboy Prayer. Texan Randol Bass’s Southwestern Suite is also on the bill along with Jan Sanborn’s Loren Janes Silver Screen Medley. A bit of Broadway completes the program with favorites from Annie Get Your Gun and Paint Your Wagon.
